We are located at a big 10 school with one of the largest football stadiums in the country and a storied football program. I can understand your concern, especially with the number of scammers running around the forums lately. However, I can assure you we are far from a scam, just a student group short on cash and looking to raise some money. I just thought our position at a major football university put us in a good spot to establish a mutually-beneficial relationship with a book.

I have already talked to a couple marketing groups and was able to explain the situation more fully. However, due to possible backlash from the university (as per the post above by Wild Bill) or attack on our public reputation, I prefer to keep our identity off the public boards. Those who have contacted me have received the full story and can vouch that I have been more than forthcoming. I can provide documentation to anyone who expresses interest, for instance, proof of our parent corporation as a registered non-profit collegiate organization. Payments would be made to this corporation and not any individual.
